In Upright Women Wanted, award-winning author Sarah Gailey reinvents the pulp Western with an explicitly antifascist, near-future story of queer identity.
Short but with a full world. Felt the right length. Love the concept of secret queer traveling librarians moving through a post apocalyptic West distributing propaganda (and of course other things). Only complaint is the short timeline between seeing her BFF* hang and being interested in someone else.
