There were a lot of interesting and clever updates to this retelling to modernize it – the social media livestream aspect was apropos and chilling – but sadly the ending provided no closure and let important character storylines burn out without resolution. It could have been a decent movie if they’d rewritten the ending. As it was I liked the casting of Montag and Beatty but wish they’d been given better material. Disappointing.
