Another great entry from Kingfisher. I very much liked both main characters, and also was beating my head for their continued self-beating about wanting the other and as was advertised on Twitter this is definitely a please just bone already! story. A delightful cast of side characters, and truly gross and creepy and scary monsters. This is a fantasy romance with a strong punch of horror, so it makes sense why she self published, but also, more like this please. I’m all about genre mashups, and collectively I feel like we live in a mashup culture, so book marketers need to figure out how to sell more books like this.
