Nobody is advertising what matters

From Derek Sivers’ How to Live

What if you ran a Patreon that was literally passthrough crowdfunding for ads in local papers like, “why not call a friend today?” or “someone would love to hear from you, reach out to them today?” And the more money people pitched in, the more / bigger papers it could be in. I advertised in a couple local papers and a quarter page ad is not outrageous. You’d be supporting local news, taking up ad space in the paper with something not for sale, and spreading messages meant to make people happier. Win-win-win.
