NaNoWriMo 2021: Day Twelve

Wrote 140 minutes, with one 30-minute hourglass and one 50-minute Cave session of focused time. Added 1082 words.

Split writing up into a mid-day and evening chunk, both at home. After the first block, I realized that the chapter needed another sex scene to tie everything up. They’re hard! I thought I was done with them! But, yeah, it needed it. Alas, I had to remove 300 words I wrote mid-day — the scene wasn’t right for this stage in the book.

This scene is taking forever to write, but it’s the last scene from the heroine’s POV, so it’s got some heavy lifting, and I need to nail the tone. My outline also was clearly not up to the task, especially after I realized what I’d originally envisioned wasn’t right at all.
