A bank teller discovers that he’s actually an NPC inside a brutal, open world video game.
Thought this was really well done! Ryan Reynolds was well-cast for the deadpan gee shucks. The creators went all in on the concept — “this is a video game, what would be awesome here?” — and it made it a lot of fun. They did a good job of setting things up and building them into the story later — the sunglasses people, the shoes he wants, his morning routine. I like how they tied in meme / viral culture, players, and streamers.
