Still a LOT of confusion about “False Neg (FN)” results on PCR (& rapid)

 

Like a pregnancy test ANY test will be Neg if used too soon

 

PCR swab w/in 1 day of exposure may have a 95% FN rate

 

Within 2 days may be 60% False Neg

 

3 days 30%

 

by 4-5 days MOST ppl will turn pos
