Outreach Coordinator
City of Kirkland | 2014-2022 (7 1/2 years)
The City of Kirkland is a city of about 90,000 people. I worked on a team of three.
- Developed recycling program outreach strategy that supports long-term goals and reaches all target audiences using the most effective tactics. Collaborate on program development and synchronize and integrate messaging with programming.
- Created and implemented outreach campaigns to promote recycling and sustainability programs offered by the City and partners and spur behavior change. Incorporated best practices to reach and engaged with diverse audiences.
- Coordinated with teams across the City, other local governments, NGOs, and other partners to offer effective, innovative outreach and programs. Maintained current relationships while developing new relationships with potential future partners.
- Researched, prepared reports and advised City Council and Public Works Director on policy and programmatic decisions. (Example: Food Service Ware Policy Report) Prepared reporting on the City’s Sustainability Master Plan.

The Watershed Company | 2008-2014 (6 1/2 years)
The Watershed Company is an environmental consulting firm, with approximately 25 employees during my time there.
- Developed interpretive signs on a variety of environmental topics to translate technical information into engaging stories that built connection. Created customized reports.
- Designed presentations and supporting materials. Coached staff for presentations and led staff trainings on public speaking.
- Created website and blog content. Oversaw two website redesigns.
- Designed all marketing materials and prepared SOQs.
